Pre-heat oven to 325ºF.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook until browned...

  • 16oz ground sausage

Cut into 1 inch cubes and set aside...

  • 6 slices sandwich bread

In a medium bowl, whisk together...

  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Set aside...

  • 2 cups extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

In a 9x13-inch casserole dish, layer the ingredients to ensure even distribution:

  1. First Layer: Sprinkle half of the bread cubes, followed by half of the sausage and half the cheese.
  2. Second Layer: Repeat with the remaining bread, sausage, and cheese.
  3. Finish: Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top.

Bake for 45 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.

Remove from the oven, slice into squares, and serve hot. Enjoy!
